Juan Camilo Artunduaga Escobar

Juan Camilo focuses his practice in international and national arbitration, infrastructure projects, public and administrative law, and dispute resolution involving state entities. He has experience in international arbitrations conducted under the rule of the ICC and ICDR; in national arbitrations administered by the Arbitration and Conciliation Center of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá. Juan Camilo has participated in diverse processes of structuring, financing, and contracting PPPs projects (airport, road, and social sectors); in bidding processes for contracts under PPP modality; and in negotiations of EPC and credit contracts.

  • Participation in the representation of an Australian infrastructure fund´s SPV in an ICC arbitration based in Madrid, against a Spanish construction company, with respect to an EPC contract for the engineering and construction of a road project in Colombia.
  • Participation in the representation of an Australian infrastructure fund´s SPV in an ICDR arbitration based in Bogotá, against a Colombian state entity, regarding a PPP concession contract of a national road.
  • Participation in the structuring process of a private initiative PPP project for the improvement, maintenance, and operation of the international airport of Bogotá.
  • Participation in the consultancy of a Spanish construction company in the bidding process and implementation of the largest hospital PPP project in Colombian history.
  • Participation in the representation of a group of Colombian banks in the negotiation of a credit contract and EPC contract, regarding a concession contract under PPP modality of a 4G road project in Colombia.
  • Participation in the consultancy of a Spanish construction company in an acquisition transaction of a concession contract under PPP modality for the construction and operation of a 4G road project in Colombia.
