Angélica focuses her practice on international commercial and investment arbitration. She has served as secretary in tribunals under UNCITRAL and CCB rules and has supported arbitrations in the energy, mining, and infrastructure sectors.

Before joining Zulegal, Angélica served as Senior Counsel for the International Arbitration Section of the Arbitration and Conciliation Center at the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, where she acted as tribunal secretary, registry officer, and contributed to the standardization of institutional best practices. Previously, she worked at the Colombian office of a Spanish law firm, serving as counsel in arbitrations, national litigation, insolvency processes, due diligence, and administrative procedures related to the agribusiness sector. Angélica began her professional practice as an intern at the National Agency for Legal Defense of the State, in the investment arbitration area, and at the Ministry of Commerce, at the OECD National Contact Point. She holds a law degree from Universidad del Rosario, where she has worked as an assistant professor of Public International Law. As a student, she was awarded scholarships throughout her studies, received recognition for Academic Excellence, and had an outstanding participation in the Philip C. Jessup Moot Court Competition and the Foreign Direct Investment Moot. Angélica also holds a specialization in International Business Law from Universidad de los Andes and is currently part of the ITAFOR Contributors list.
